National Senior Certificate (NSC) with diploma or Higher Certificate entry or an equivalent foreign secondary qualification or international school-leaving certificate on an NSC level (NQF 4) confirmed by SAQA.
National Certificate (Vocational) level four issued by the Council of General, Further Education and Training.
This Course takes a minimum of one year and maximum of 3 years.
Theoretical work is covered over a period of six months from enrollment from January until June. Practical work takes six months and begins in August until January the next year.
Students enrolling in July start theoretical work from July until December. Practical work commences in January and ends in June.
Course Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, graduates will be able to understand the Blockchain technology and FinTech in detail. Graduates will have the technical skills to assemble and dismantle Computer components and Crypto-Currency mining equipment. Graduates will be able to code and programme Decentralized Applications on the Facebook Libra Blockchain, Ethereum, Bitcoin, NEO among other Blockchains using Solidity and Move.
Graduates will be able to code, programme and analyze Crypto Currencies and other Peer to Peer Decentralized Applications. They will also possess the technical abilities to fix software bugs and servers within the Fintech Programming Space. The qualification also gives them access to pursue Accounting and other Commercial studies.
Graduates will be conferred with an NQF Level 5 qualification that will enable them to pursue further NQF Level 6 and 7 in the respected field. Graduates will also have the necessary Technical skills to enter the job market while in the process of completing their Diploma or Degrees.
Blockchain Solution Architect
The Blockchain Solution Architect has the responsibility of designing, assigning and connecting Blockchain solution components with the team experts such as developers, network administrators, UX designers, and IT Operations whose to develop to complete the Blockchain solutions.
Blockchain Project Manager
This individual is entrusted with the responsibility of connecting Blockchain projects to experts whose duty it is to develop Blockchain solutions. Blockchain project managers need to be equipped with the skills of a traditional (cloud) project manager. They also need to master the technical bit to understand the technology thoroughly. Another important ability is excellent communication skills; this is essential when addressing non-technical workers, when providing useful updates or when trying to get resources from higher authorities.

With the incorporation of Blockchain into so many industries, its design as well as user interface, is becoming critical. The role of a Blockchain designer is shaping a user interface that creates trust and is alluring to a regular user.
